Oh, foolish tongue
That engages the swollen brain
In Reason's roar--
You flood the shore with words,
Unnecessarily.
Why explain what can only be understood by the Heart?
Your words convey nothing,
Are only idle chatter,
Nervous gestures
Seeking approval.
Let the reader understand,
As souls
Commune in silence.
For the pen tiptoes softly
Across the page,
Lest the Poet wakens
In a rage,
Minds blissfully slumb'ring
