I Can't Just Let You Go

It isn't like me to just walk away,
No warning, pretending everything's OK,
Feeling crazy, out of control,
Drowning in tears, denying my soul.

Sure we had a fight, we sometimes do,
But we talked it out and made it through,
So why didn't I just trust my heart,
And not put faith in mystical art?

Our connection keeps us together,
In spite of often stormy weather,
Others cannot understand,
What our souls in other realms planned.

Too many voices, I've listened to,
Not my true choices to turn from you,
I find I can't just let you go,
And that's a truth we always know.

As this old world continues to revolve,
We'll find our own way to evolve,
Our paradigm, being tested with time,
Can only be yours and mine.
